SHOES!!
Here I am pulling a belt to the last notch on my belt to keep my pants up when I look in my closet and I am thankful for my glorious shoe collection! Right now as some of my clothes hang off me, my shoe size is still the same. Shoes do make me happy. When I look down and see some clever looking design peeking from under my pant leg. I walk differently when I have certain shoes on, each pair expresses a different part of my personality. I have spent some pretty pennies on some shoes in my closet, but I've had them for awhile and plan on keeping them awhile. I do like to find good deals on shoes too but I don't like cheap shoes, especially where the insides get all crumbly and sticky. I have come to appreciate more expensive high heels. That price is a guarantee you don't torture the balls of your feet. For day to day I don't really like wearing heels, well I don't like walking on carpet, but I do like standing around in heels. I'm very amused by people around here that spend a lot of money on certain brands of flip-flops. Sadly, I was pulled into this cult happening for a short while. I think you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes. Not in a mean girl judgmental way, just in a way how they express themselves. Some people just want practical, some comfort others style. For me I've notices, guys like to compliment my shoes.....so either they are gay or have picked up the fine art of noticing what might be important to a girl. I've actually started several conversations with different people because of my shoes or theirs. Shoes: allowing us to share common ground ;)
I even bough a pair of TOMS shoes. That's where when you buy a pair, they send a pair to a child in another country. It's pretty cool to think about somewhere in the world I have a shoe twin. But I also felt guilty that I just added to my mumble number (a high number) of shoes, just to give the only pair to a child.
Too continue this silly post, I will share some photos of my favorite shoes!! Check the post below this one....
