Ohio and Kentucky are gorgeous! I enjoyed the high 80's low 90's too. I am rather exhausted and need to recharge my introvert batteries so this will be brief. Successful trip number 4 and no sign of infection! SCORE. I weighed myself this morning to find I gained another pound, 119.2, thank you family cooking. Most of our trip can be summed up by a bunch of us sitting around talking while consuming really really well prepared food. I realized how much I am like my dad's side of the family. It was nice to be around family, they have to love on you and accept you for you. It was just refreshing to be in a room full of people who sincerely cared. I didn't feel like I had to try.
The stress in my shoulders went away due to the wide open fields in Kentucky. It is

just like the pictures, horses, white fences and green for miles. The wedding of our family friends was the cutest country wedding! I've never been to a country wedding, but a little small church with an outhouse is priceless. We stayed in a restored Shaker village. Our accommodations were bare minimum, late 1800's-early 1900's living. It was a great escape from the city. They found this place because they went to school near by. If you have ever been to Williamsburg, VA, its kind of like that. You get to experience history living in it. Yes, there was electricity and running hot water....and the most uncomfortable chairs, the ladderback chairs, the shakers are famous for.

They are also famous for having pegs around the room to hang these chairs and other such items to clean. I'm looking into this system for my room, it would be spotless. The Shakers also believed they were brothers and sisters in Christ, therefore they did not believe in marriage or sex. I thought that was funny since we were there for a wedding! Taking it slow and enjoying our friends again was the main activity. There weren't to do lists or deadlines, it was taking the time to get to know each other. I appreciate that way of life.
