Flu Shot

Finally got my flu shot today! This is late for me, I'm usually one of the first to get the shot, but since I was sick it was not the best idea to get it. I'm still on the fence about the Swine flu vac. From what I can tell, its just like another flu shot, it targets certain strands of the flu. Its still kind of scary to try something new. Don't get me wrong, I'm terrified of getting swine flu, so I'll probably end up getting it. I don't trust people and I think a lot of people are irresponsible when they are sick. Public health is a huge issue these days due to transportation. People can travel so far, so quickly and viruses love it. It just really upsets me when I meet people and after a couple of minutes they say, oh I'm sick or I have a cold. Then what the hell are you doing out in public?!?! Yeah, being sick to you might be a couple of days and your golden. For people like me, your whatever bacteria could send me right back into the tangled web of IV antibiotics! I know people have to work and pay the bills, so do I. So why don't you help me out and the cost of health care, by not getting me sick. I respect people who don't believe in vaccinations, and the research on childhood diseases and vaccinations is a major concern. But then those not vaccinated need to be responsible in others ways. Go ahead and risk your chances of getting the flu, but don't risk me getting it either. We all toot, love the world, we're all in this together, for the common man, well that's public health too. So I just hope everyone will do their part this flu season and at all times, to be conscious of the decisions they are making about their health, especially if they could expose others.
