Thankful for CF because
Well I'm a little late for Thanksgiving due to sometimes I have a hard time finishing things I start but we should be thankful all the time so here it goes.
I'm thankful for CF because of the opportunities it has created and the situation more than the actual manifestation of the disease. I noticed when people were saying what they were thankful for, a lot were about how people got through a tough situation. It is a lot easier to be thankful for the good stuff, but there is something about somehow seeing good in the bad stuff and being thankful for that. I've had my whole life to deal with this disease and for now I don't see me coming out of this tough situation soon, so I have to focus on the good.
I am thankful for CF because
1. This is the life I was given and what I make of it is what matters.
2. Its a Character builder
3. I have really nice curved nails
4. I have one of the best relationships with my parents
5. I don't have to worry about being fat
6. Its given me a different perspective and I love analogies so comparing situations is always fun
7. The people I've met due to my disease
8. The love, support and encouragement I receive from all my friends and family all the time
9. 2 or more hours of my day, is entertainment time, when I was younger it was all about how much tv I could watch. Now its about reading, movies or facebook!
10. Instant excuse for not participating or going some where when I don't want to tell someone NO
11. I got out of running in school
12. Its one way how I relate to Christ. Knowing that there is a God that is bigger than CF
13. A passion to help others live with chronic conditions and just others to change their lifestyle to healthy behaviors
