Green Bean Casserole -GF
Pre-thanksgiving dinner with the Young Adult group at church last week was super fun. It was a hybrid family of new and lovely old faces, babies, games and gooood food.. I requested to make gluten free green bean casserole. That sneaky, nasty wheat grain is in most cream of mushroom soups. Although I will miss the blob of Campbell's mushroom soup with the can lines, I'm too lazy to make my own, so I visited the wonderful Mother's Market to see if the gluten free fairies had delivered the goods. I was overjoyed and seriously did a jig in the grocery isle, when I spotted this!
Thank yooooooou Health Valley!!! It tasted pretty good, I should have used a lot less though since it wasn't creamy, but I was happy to have gluten free green bean casserole. My wonderful friend, made gluten free stuffing, AMAZING!! I can't wait to get the recipe. For next week, my mission is to bake a gluten free pie crust, I just need to decide pumpkin or apple or something else?? HELP ME DECIDE
Oh what did I do about the tasty crispy fried onions? I bought a can for those people and I brought Lay's potato chips, they add the crisp factor. If I want to spend more time next week, I might fry up my own :D
