123 lbs!!

That's right I have gained 4 lbs. since being admitted into the hospital. Thank you Baskin Robbins Peanut Butter & Chocolate ice cream and my expensive purchase of Belgium hand-made chocolates!

Yes, I'm probably one of the only girls in America celebrating weight gain. And yes I am actually trying to gain weight. Its super easy for me to lose weight due to coughing. I actually try my best to eat fatty, high calorie foods because my lungs use up the energy. Studies have shown that a BMI of 22 is positively correlated with the best FEV1 scores. In English, weight positively or negatively affects lung function. Since I'm 5'7 I need to be 136 lbs to obtain a BMI of 22 and at that level my FEV1 scores ( the amount of air I can blow out in 1 second) are at an optimal level and higher from my scores at a weight of 123 lbs. This all depends of my level of exercise and if I'm sick or not. So that is my goal, more like 130 lbs unless it can be all muscle! I don't want to gain a bunch of flab, even though I have found that nearly impossible to do. It would be more beneficial to gain muscle. Its heavier and healthier to have muscle mass. And who doesn't want sculpted arms?

Belgium chocolates don't really fit into that, but I can't exercise because of the IV line in my arm that goes to my heart, so eating is what I can do. I have been watching a lot of TV and have found this to be the root of obesity. As previously mentioned my love hate relationship with food and not being hungry, not really wanting to eat. One hour of house hunters or NCIS and I'm starving. I crave sugary/salty foods. Slash when I eat lunch and watch tv at the same time I don't feel full. I'm too distracted by the TV to allow my brain to process I'm eating and to be satisfied. Unless I'm watching Gossip Girl I'm always satisfied. Those kids lead such more interesting lives while wearing the best clothes!

Well its about snack time, some peanuts and sugary drinks should do it!
