Hos-pit-al: Day 2
I go to the hospital to be myself where everyone is suppose to understand my coughing. Twice this nurse or whoever she is that sits at this desk outside my room has come in and asked, "Are you okay?" Um how do I answer with out stating the obvious. I usually like the hospital for this very reason that when I have these major coughing bouts to get out mucus people treat it as normally as possible. They continue talking to me or just pass me a tissue. The respiratory therapy people even ask to look at my mucus....ugh, cringe. I am here to cough, to clear all the mucus out of my airways. The second time she did ask if I needed respiratory therapy but I had received it 2 hours before. They like to keep them 4 hours apart. My cough is getting less forceful so its not as much effort to get the junk out, but it can still sound pretty bad.
And have I ever been clearing stuff out. Having already done 3 breathing treatments with one more to go today its Fall cleaning for my lungs.
