Awareness
I was just sent an e-mail from a long time family friend with a special attachment. I've known this woman and her family for over 12 years. We use to attend the same church. They have been great supporters of our family and they are a great joy to be around. The attachment was her daughter's report for her 9th grade Health Class. 9th grade! I use to babysit this girl when she was in elementary school! The disease she choose was cystic fibrosis. At the end of the report she states she has a special interest in this disease because of her friend. The report continues to say I want there to be a cure so she won't have to do long breathing treatments. AMEN. The report also states that my friend has been lucky and was only hospitalized for the first time last year. Thank you for the reminder to once again be grateful for the 21 years of basically CF-free living.
I was so touched to read my little friend's report. This is actually the second one like this. My best friend from high school sister wrote a report on cystic fibrosis because of me. I hope they don't have the same health teacher! I would like to thank everyone that is aware and spreads awareness of cystic fibrosis.And acknowledges what I'm going through and in anyway supports and encourages. Thank you to all for the prayers about complete healing, strength and patience. Thank you for those that have financially given to help find a cure. Thank you for all means of positive communication. Thank you for learning and investigating this disease along my side. Thank you for suggestions, research and questions about life and how to relieve CF symptoms. Thank you for fighting on this adventure with me.
